Battle System
What is a battle and how battles work
What is a battle?
A battle is a time-limited competition. You enter once (paid or via a no-loss pass), receive a starting Bucks budget (our in-game currency), and play one or more games to earn XP. When the battle ends, players are ranked by total XP; prizes are paid out by rank (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and often more).
How battles work
- Browse battles — See active and upcoming battles: prize pool, entry fee, duration, and games included.
- Enter — Pay the entry fee or use a no-loss pass (when eligible). You get one or more entries per battle (depending on battle rules and your pass).
- Lobby — Each entry has its own Bucks and XP. You see your rank, the live leaderboard, and the list of games you can play.
- Play games — Spend Bucks to play Mines, Hi/Lo, Keno, Tower, Coin Flip, etc. Each game awards XP based on performance (and sometimes multipliers, e.g. streaks).
- Climb the leaderboard — Your total XP for that entry determines your rank. Rank updates in real time.
- Battle ends — When the timer hits zero, the leaderboard is final. Prizes are assigned by rank and paid out according to the battle's prize structure.
Battle types
- Casino — Games like Mines, Hi/Lo, Keno, Tower; instant results; XP from each round.
- Sports — Prediction-style battles (e.g. pick outcomes); XP when results resolve.
- Skill / Instant — Other timed skill formats; same idea: earn XP, rank, win.
Bucks vs XP
- Bucks — Our in-game currency (short for Battle Bucks). You start with a set amount (e.g. 1,000). You spend Bucks to play games. When they're gone, you can't play more (unless the battle offers top-ups or daily chests).
- XP (Experience Points) — Earned by playing games. XP determines your rank. More XP = higher rank. You don't "spend" XP; it only goes up during the battle.
So: Bucks = what you use to play; XP = what you compete on.
Multiple entries
Some battles allow multiple entries per user (e.g. up to 3). Each entry has its own Bucks and XP and appears as a separate line on the leaderboard. That gives you more chances to rank in the same battle.
Early entry and bonuses
Selected battles may offer:
- Early entry bonus — Extra starting Bucks or a discount for entering in the first portion of the battle window.
- Free tournaments — No entry fee; practice and climb the leaderboard for bragging rights or small rewards.
Details are shown on each battle's page.
